Along with KOZI, MANA used to be the guitarist of the band "Mirage". Before MM, MANA was heavily into heavy metal rock. He was interested in classical music since young age. His father, a music teacher, influenced him into classical music. MANA said he regretｴs not having learned playing the piano like his two younger brothers. During concerts his main role is one in which he dances and flirts with every member of the band, giving flowers, blowing kisses and falling into GACKTｴs arms. Whereas his appearance and mannerisms are strongly female his dancing has a strong male aspect to it, which IMHO is a brilliant expression of the dual nature inherent to mankind. During concerts the visual aspect of his performance overrides his musical role, eventhough he will play the guitar and sometimes keyboards. MANA's interests are walking in the night, collecting movies (esp. Dracula), cooking (esp. good at curry, he loves cooking books too) and music. About the meaning represented by Malice Mizer, he said that it represents the worlds of "Malice and tragedy with dramatic base", medival age Europe, Classical, and also of SHOUJO MANGA (Girl's comics).

Birthday: March 19th Bloodtype: O Height: 173cm Weight: 49kg Birth place: Hiroshima CAMUI GACKT is the vocalist of MALICE MIZER who MANA recruited by guitarist MANA in October 1995. GACKT replaces "TETSU" after he left Malice Mizer. His role in the band consists of writing the lyrics, playing the piano and does much of the singing. He has a smooth, soft and romantic voice. His Visual role is one in which he portrays the handsome-prince-charming, the 17th century aristocrat and during the early dayｴs a vampire. His favorite singer is Yoshida Miwa the vocalist of Dreams Come True At the age of three Gackt began playing the piano, in fact he alway's wanted to become wind instrument player. He gave up on that idea when he found that playing wind instruments hurted his teeth, so he changed his dream into become an Orchestra conductor. It was his father who influenced him to play wind instrument, he thought his dad was so cool when playing trumpet. Therefore he learned to play trumpet, horn, as well as his favorite--piano. However, when he first got involved with band activities, he played drums.

Birthday: May 29th Bloodtype: A Height: 175cm Weight: 56kg Kozi is the main composer and guitarist of the band who likes to play the role of Pierrot. In contrast to Mana he has a "red" image. Kozi is the guitarist always in "red", contrast with MANA's "blue" image. He always got amazing costumes and looking great! (he reminds me of Hide sometimes) KOZI is also the main composer for the band. In the movi "de l'image" he plays a pierrot and a fortune-teller. Like Mana and Gackt, on stage Kozi dances all the time. In his solo corner with Mana, he sang a song called "Color Me Blood Red", a gothic techno song that can be found as the c/w of single "BEL AIR" (normal edition). He is a big fan of British new wave bands/artists, like Duran Duran, David Bowie and JAPAN. At the age of 17 he came to Tokyo in order to pursue his band career. During that period he, like Mana, was very much in the American metal/punk scene.

Birthday: August 8th Bloodtype: A Height: 176cm Weight: 54kg Birth place: Fukuoka Yu~ki is the bassist of MALICE MIZER. He plays the role of "vampire" and "Count" in the band as well as the guy with beard. During the early dayｴs of MM Yu~ki had very androgynous image, later he changed his image into a "vampire count". Lately he has returned to his original image. In the image video "de l'image", Yu~ki plays the heroine's brother and has this really ugly curly haired aristocrat look He started playing the bass in highschool when he and his friends formed an hard rock band which however splitted up when everyone went to Tokyo to pursue their own dreams. It was then he got recruited by MM's leader Mana. Yu~ki's favorite bassist is Mick Karn of JAPAN. Yu~ki is a very artistic person who is 's very much into fashion design with a special interest in ladies clothing, as well as he is a painter.

Birthday: Feb 1st Bloodtype: A Height: 177cm Weight: 57 kg Birth place: Ibaragi Kami is the drummer of MALICE MIZER. He used to be the support drummer and officially joined the band on March 1993. Whereas the other members of the band dance more than playing their instruments Kami does "everything" in live--play drums and percussions, chorus, clap hands, (possibly the one who pushes the buttons of recorded sound effects and keyboards part as well) Kami is certainly the most "technical" guy in the band. As For his image, Kami doesn't have a specific "role" in the band but mostly is dressed uni-sexual or aristocratic. He has really long straight beautiful hair which gives him a fantastic appearance. In highschool he was into American heavy metal/glam rock (ex: Bon Jovi). His favored instument is the acoustic guitar. By the age of 16 he bought his first drum set. Later he went to Tokyo where he met Mana. The reason for Kami to join MALICE MIZER was that he likes the song "BAROQUE" (in indies album "MEMOIRE DX") KAMI has a very impressive drum solo corner in concert (piano by Gackt).
